Our latest jaunt ended yesterday and it was full of good shows and good times. The best being that our show in Seattle was reviewed by NO DEPRESSION magazine. For bands in our genre NO DEPRESSION top of the line. Check out the review here:

Our first show was in Portland at Mississippi Studios. This was only our second time in Portland and we managed to play the coolest venue. It was filled with old church pews and wooden folding chairs, paintings of old blues artists, and even a silver camper in the back. The sound and audience were great. Band of Annuals, Or, the Whale and Bark Hide and Horn; no single syllable band names here. Bark Hide and Horn let all of is crash at their house. Seventeen band members in all! Thanks guys.
The show in Seattle was at our favorite venue, The Tractor Tavern. It was a packed house and all the bands delivered. Or, the Whale, Band of Annuals and The Maldives. We were for once the band with the least members! Steel guitars, beards, red headed singing girls, and twangin' songs filled the air. Some of the guys from Or, the Whale joined us onstage for the climax of Don't Let Me Die. It was a great moment. The night was capped off by eagerly awaited street-meat: hot dogs and veggie dogs. Seattle's best!
Next came Spokane. We've missed Spokane the last couple of tours so it was nice to be back. We always look forward to Empryean's French roast coffee. Karli Fairbanks made us feel welcome and mesmerized us with her songs. She even made us breakfast. Thank you Karli, Zac, and everyone who showed up. It was our best Spokane show yet.
Last but now least was The Badlander in Missoula, Montana. It was a Monday and our first time there, but it turned out to be good. The weather was a reminder that we were near home. Which can be a good or bad thing. We met new friends and friends of friends; one being Marcus who let us sleep at his apartment even when we were in a particularly goofy mood. We will definitely return.
Other happenings included Brent kicking over a garbage can, jumping jacks, the road's a bitch songs, truck stop karate kicks, Jamie getting tanked, five dollars a day allowance, and lots of avocados.
One more thing, we have put a link on our myspace page that allows you to donate to Save Galactigone. Any donation helps!
Love,
Band of Annuals
